Guwahati: A tragic incident unfolded in Baithalangso, West Karbi Anglong District of Assam, as a senior doctor lost his life while two others sustained injuries in a road accident last night. Dr. Cliff Pator, a revered figure in the community, tragically passed away in the accident, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service to healthcare. Dr. Pator, hailing from Dongkamukam, West Karbi Anglong, served as the head of Baithalangso PHC. His untimely demise has plunged the local community into mourning, reflecting the profound impact of his dedication. Survived by his wife and two children, Dr. Pator's commitment to public health will be dearly missed. Dr. Mukrang Terang and health worker Edward Bay, the injured parties, are currently under medical care, with their conditions being closely monitored. The incident underscores the pressing need for improved road safety measures in the region, prompting authorities to urge drivers to exercise heightened caution, especially during night-time travel.
