The United Doctors Front (UDF) Chapter Jammu and Kashmir has condemned this situation, labeling it as "blatant negligence and unfair treatment" towards aspirants from the region.r. Mir Waseem, National Joint Secretary of UDF, emphasized that this exclusion places an undue burden on meritorious candidates and called for immediate intervention from the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare to rectify the issue.
Previously, on December 19, the Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) also highlighted the challenges faced by aspirants due to the lack of a local exam centre.AK President Dr. Yousuf Tak pointed out that traveling long distances imposes financial and logistical burdens, especially given the region's unpredictable weather and terrain.e urged authorities to prioritize the establishment of a NEET-SS examination centre in Srinagar to ensure equal opportunities for all candidates.
Despite these appeals, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has maintained that the available test centres in Srinagar do not meet the required security standards necessary for conducting the high-stakes examination.onsequently, Srinagar has not been considered as a test city for the upcoming NEET-SS exam.
