In Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir, two doctors have been suspended following allegations of medical negligence at a private hospital. A woman, who was admitted for an ear surgery, reportedly had her uterus removed instead. The incident led authorities to seal the hospital's operation theatre pending further investigation.

The suspended medical professionals are Dr. Anjum Nazir, a Consultant Gynaecologist at Sub-District Hospital Sopore, and Dr. Tariq Ahmad Dar, a Medical Officer specializing in anesthesia at District Hospital Bandipora. Both have been prohibited from engaging in any form of private medical practice across Jammu and Kashmir until further notice.

The government's swift action underscores its commitment to maintaining medical standards and patient safety. An official order confirmed the suspension of the two doctors and the sealing of the operation theatre at Hakeem Sonuallah Hospital, where the alleged negligence occurred.
