A man named Kalapala Bharat Kumar was caught working as a doctor at Ankura Hospital in Madinaguda, Hyderabad, without a valid medical license. During a surprise inspection on March 19, 2025, the Telangana Medical Council (TGMC) discovered that he was using fake registration documents to practice medicine. The TGMC filed a complaint at the Miyapur police station, leading to an FIR registered on March 25.
Following the discovery, Ankura Hospital terminated Bharat Kumar's employment. The hospital stated that it upholds high standards of patient safety and ethics and will fully cooperate with the ongoing investigations. The TGMC has advised all hospitals and clinics in Telangana to verify the credentials of their medical staff through their official website to prevent such incidents.
This case highlights the importance of proper verification processes in healthcare institutions. The TGMC continues to urge the public to ensure that they consult qualified and licensed medical professionals for their healthcare needs.
