ഭുബനേശ്വർ: ഒഡീഷയിൽ ഡോക്ടറെ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തി പണം കവരാൻ ശ്രമിച്ച 4 പേരെ പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്‌തു. ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ സെപ്റ്റംബർ 8-ന് ആയിരുന്നു സംഭവം നടന്നത്. ഇറാനി പത്ര എന്ന ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഡോക്ടറെ ഫോണിൽ വിളിക്കുകയും തനിക്ക് കടുത്ത പനിയാണ് ചെക്ക് അപ്പ് നടത്താൻ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് വരണമെന്നും ഡോക്ടറോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു. മുൻപ് ഒരിക്കൽ ഇറാനിയെ ചികിൽസിച്ചതിനാൽ ഇവരുമായി ഒരു ചെറിയ പരിചയം ഡോക്ടർക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ഏകദേശം രാത്രി 11 മണിയോടെ ഡോക്ടർ സിറ്റി ഹോംസിലെ ഇവരുടെ വാടക വീട്ടിലേക്ക് എത്തി. ഉടൻ തന്നെ ഇറാനിയും ഇവരുടെ ഭർത്താവും മറ്റു രണ്ടു പേരും ചേർന്ന് ഡോക്ടറെ ഒരു മുറിയിലേക്ക് കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് പോവുകയും ഡോക്ടറിനെ ആ മുറിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചതിന് ശേഷം കതകടക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. ആദ്യം ഡോക്ടറെ ആക്രമിച്ച് കാറിൻ്റെ താക്കോലും സ്വർണവളയും മൊബൈൽ ഫോണും ഇവർ തട്ടിയെടുത്തു. ശേഷം ഒരു കത്തി കാണിച്ച് കൊണ്ട് 25 ലക്ഷം രൂപ നൽകിയാൽ മാത്രമേ ഡോക്ടറെ വിട്ടയക്കൂ എന്ന് ഇവർ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തി. തൻ്റെ ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കാൻ മറ്റൊരു മാർഗ്ഗവും ഇല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ 10 ലക്ഷം രൂപ നൽകാമെന്ന് ഡോക്ടർ സമ്മതിച്ചു. ആദ്യം ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപ ഫോൺ പേ വഴി ഡോക്ടർ ഇറാനിയുടെ അക്കൗണ്ടിലേക്ക് നിക്ഷേപിച്ചു. ഫോൺ പേയിൽ പണമിടപാട് നടത്തുന്നതിന് ഒരു നിശ്ചിത പരിധിയുള്ളതിനാലായിരുന്നു ഡോക്ടർ ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്‌തത്‌. ബാക്കി 9 ലക്ഷം രൂപ എടുക്കുന്നതിനായി ഇറാനിയും ഭർത്താവും ഡോക്ടറേയും കൂട്ടി അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോവുകയും 9 ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ ചെക്ക് ഡോക്ടർ തൻ്റെ വീട്ടിൽ വെച്ച് ഇവർക്ക് നൽകുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. ശേഷം അവർ ഇറാനിയുടെ വീട്ടിലെത്തി ഡോക്ടറുടെ കാറിൻ്റെ താക്കോലും സ്വർണ്ണ വളയും മൊബൈൽ ഫോണും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് തിരികെ നൽകുകയും ഇക്കാര്യം പോലീസിൽ അറിയിക്കരുതെന്ന് ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തി ഡോക്ടറെ വിട്ടയക്കുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. എന്നാൽ വിട്ടയക്കപ്പെട്ട ഉടൻ തന്നെ ഡോക്ടർ പോലീസിൽ പരാതിപ്പെടുകയും അധികം വൈകാതെ തന്നെ പോലീസ് പ്രതികളെ പിടികൂടുകയും ചെയ്‌തു. ഇന്ത്യൻ പീനൽ കോഡിലെ സെക്ഷൻ 342 (അന്യായമായി തടവിലാക്കൽ), സെക്ഷൻ 365 (രഹസ്യമായി തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോകൽ), സെക്ഷൻ 385 (കൊള്ളയടിക്കാനായി ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തൽ, തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് പോകൽ, പരിക്കേൽപ്പിക്കൽ), സെക്ഷൻ 386 (ഒരു വ്യക്തിയെ മരണ ഭയത്തിലോ ഗുരുതരമായ പരിക്കിലോ ആക്കി കൊള്ളയടിക്കൽ), സെക്ഷൻ 387, 389, 394 (കവർച്ച നടത്താനായി സ്വമേധയാ പരിക്കേൽപ്പിക്കൽ), സെക്ഷൻ 120-ബി (ക്രിമിനൽ ഗൂഢാലോചനയുടെ ശിക്ഷ) എന്നിവ പ്രകാരം നാല് പേർക്കെതിരെയും പോലീസ് കേസെടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. പോലീസ് അന്വേഷണത്തിൽ മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ സാധിച്ച മറ്റൊരു കാര്യം ഡോക്ടറെ പോലെ തന്നെ മറ്റു രണ്ടു പേർ കൂടി ഇവരുടെ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തലിന് ഇരകളായി എന്നാണ്. എന്നാൽ ഇവർ രണ്ടു പേരും പോലീസിൽ വിവരം അറിയിച്ചില്ല. ഈ കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ശക്തമായ പോലീസ് അന്വേഷണം നടന്നു വരികയാണ്. ഇവരുടെ സംഘത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ പേർ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നാണ് പോലീസിൻ്റെ സംശയം

However, for overweight individuals, accessing this treatment presents formidable challenges due to heightened surgical risks and technical intricacies.
According to the surgical team, led by Dr. Rajesh Nawalkar, Senior Consultant in Orthopaedics, every patient's unique circumstances demand a tailored approach to surgery. By meticulously customizing their techniques and collaborating closely with fellow medical professionals, they successfully navigated the complexities posed by the patient's weight, culminating in a triumphant outcome. Among the foremost hurdles encountered in TKR for overweight patients are the elevated risks associated with anesthesia and the heightened potential for embolism. This underscores the importance of precision and vigilance in addressing the specific needs of each patient to ensure optimal results and minimize complications.
Furthermore, the conventional use of a tourniquet, a standard protocol in TKR surgeries, presents technical challenges due to the patient's larger thigh circumference, heightening the risk of tissue damage and post-operative complications. In response to these challenges, Dr. Nawalkar collaborated closely with instrument manufacturers to devise specialized instruments tailored to accommodate the patient's unique anatomy, thereby ensuring optimal surgical outcomes. Additionally, meticulous preoperative assessments and consultations were conducted to ascertain the patient's readiness and obtain informed consent.
Richard Koszarek, the patient, underwent the surgery on January 7, 2024, with no reported complications during the procedure. However, the path to recovery was equally crucial, with rehabilitation playing a pivotal role in achieving successful outcomes. Despite facing reluctance from numerous doctors in India and abroad due to his weight, Richard expressed gratitude to the surgical team for their unwavering commitment and skillful intervention, which enabled him to regain mobility and resume an active lifestyle.
